Candy Corn Nails
It’s a little last minute, but here is a fun candy corn design you can wear for Halloween, whether you’re going to a casual party or just handing out treats.
Begin by painting all of your nails yellow. You may need a second coat of yellow nail polish for complete coverage. (If you don’t want to wear ten candy corns, this is the sort of design that can work on only a few fingers here and there, while keeping the majority of your nails a basic first step yellow.)
After the yellow nail polish dries…
Paint a stripe of orange across the lower two-thirds of your nail. Hold the brush horizontally like pictured to have an easier time making a straight line, and then paint down the rest of your nail as you normally would. Don’t worry about getting polish on the sides of your fingers as you make your stripes, as it’s very easy to clean up afterwards with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover.
Paint a stripe of white nail polish across the very tip of your nail. This stripe should be thinner than your yellow and orange sections.
Coat your entire nail in a clear topcoat to make your three layers even.
That’s it! It’s a simple design with few steps, but they end up looking very cute. Don’t worry if your lines aren’t perfectly straight, as real candy corns are never perfectly divided and are sometimes even a little crooked.
Have a happy Halloween, Reader.

Thank you very much, Bellabella and Mary.
The flower design looks cute, Mary. I wish the website’s designs were easier to see though. What is your design done in? Nail polish, acrylic paint or something else?

That is adorable, and so simple. Is that Panda Apple on your thumb I see? XD

Squishy,
It is! Done in acrylic paint. I love Pandapple but I didn’t post it as a tutorial because I wasn’t sure if anyone would recognize the character. :)

Ooh these are cute :) Next month, I wanted to do candy cane stripes; could you possibly post a tutorial on that too? It sounds easy, but I’d like to know how to do stripes of red without ruining the white and vice versa. Would I use tape? Thanks in advance :)

Leena,
Fabulous idea! I’d love to play around with a candy cane theme. I’ll post when we’re post-Thanksgiving, but it will definitely happen. Thank you for the great request. :)

Oh my these are so cute! I’m loving all the designs you have made. I was wondering if you could make a simple design using fall colours such as browns, reds, purples etc. I tend to like to wear colours depending on the season.

Jenna,
Completely necessary! An autumn post is vital. :)
I’ll get started very soon and you can expect to see some sort of fall design before Monday. Thank you for making a request.
